We focus on preventative well care of infants, children, and adolescents. When your child becomes ill, we are dedicated to providing prompt evaluation and treatment. We also serve the needs of children with chronic medical and behavioral conditions. Dr. Pendleton and Clinical Research Advantage are excited to provide research opportunities to our patients and the community! When you join a clinical trial, you will receive tests and study medication at no cost, an opportunity to learn more about your medical condition and financial compensation for your time and travel. Dr. Pendleton and Clinical Research Advantage have successfully enrolled in several studies including the recent H1N1 vaccine (swine flu) study. Dr. Pendleton was one of only a handful of Pediatricians in the country given the opportunity to participate in the pediatric swine flu study. Dr. Pendleton is becoming well known in the research industry and is pleased to offer her patients the unique opportunity to be a part of research and bringing new drugs to market. 	Join us on Facebook! Attention 4 & 5 year olds! We have an ongoing study to try to reduce the number of kindergarten shots while giving the same protection as the currently required 4 vaccines! Your child would receive the vaccine at no cost, any related medical care at no cost, and you will be compensated for your time and commitment. For more information, please call our registered nurse at (480) 782-5552. Our Migraine Study is still open. Please contact us if you are interested. Same day appointments are available for ill children, newborn evaluations and "to meet the doctor" We continue to offer on-site car seat & booster seat inspections. Check our website calendar for the next scheduled event. We are also introducing more safety information literature at our well checks or other visits if requested. Ask for details. News Flash!!! We are now partnering with the National Reach Out and Read Program to improve childhood literacy and begin a life long love of learning! Age appropriate books will be given to your child free of cost at each well visit from 6 months to 5 years of age. This is also a valuable tool to assess normal childhood development. We are very excited to help you introduce your child to the wonders of reading! Community Outreach Help us prevent drownings in your neighborhood. We are working with Cardon's Children's Hospital by distributing water safety information bags door to door. These bags are available in our office. Please stop by and pick up a bunch. You may save a life! We will be participating in Phoenix Children's Hospital Water Watch Program again this year. Over 1,000 first graders will learn the ABC's of water safety and then get to spend the morning at Mesa Community College celebrating what they have learned. For more information please go to the Phoenix Children's Hospital website and choose water safety. We are participating in a new drowning prevention program. A Prescription for Water Safety pamplet will be handed out at well checks or by request. This "Prescription" provides information about water safety and will enable your child to receive swimming lessons at a reduced price! Dr. Pendleton has even appeared on 2 local news channels and will appear on CBS early morning show spreading the word about this terrific program.
